COPENHAGEN, DENMARK (September 6, 1999) ¾ Angelica Wireless (AW), the leading Danish WAP solutions vendor, announced today that it has joined the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Forum, the industry association behind the de-facto world standard for wireless information and telephony services.

The Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Forum is an industry group dedicated to the goal of enabling sophisticated telephony and information services on hand-held wireless devices. It’s members represent over 90% of the global handset market, carriers with more than 100 million subscribers, leading infrastructure providers, software developers and other organizations providing solutions to the wireless industry. Among those are Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola, Phone.com, Microsoft and IBM.
