LPG Innovations to offer a complete mobile office solution for corporates with Nokia Networks

LPG Innovations, a Finnish mobile software company, announced today their cooperation in offering a corporate mobile office solution with Nokia Networks. LPG Mobile Enterprise Suite(TM) (LPG MES) includes the required components for setting up a mobile office, including a mobile messaging solution, a WAP gateway and security features.

With this fully integrated mobile office solution, a corporation will be able to offer its employees mobile access to basic office applications such as email, calendar and directories, without having to invest in many different system components.

LPG MES, running on multiple platforms, combines the LPG Mobile Communication Center(TM) (LPG MCC) with the Nokia Activ Server, the WAP gateway Nokia Networks is offering to corporations. With LPG MES, users will be able to access their office email, directory and calendar systems with WAP enabled handheld devices as well as with web browsers. The LPG MES product will be distributed both through LPGs and Nokia Networks sales channels. The solution will be ready for release during third quarter this year.

LPG MES further enhances interoperability, introduced earlier this year in the Mobile office in a box bundle, comprised of LPG WAPoffice(TM) and the Nokia Activ Server running on HP NetServer, by completely integrating the Nokia Activ Server and LPG Innovations mobile office solution into one product.

LPG shares the same vision of the mobile enterprise with Nokia Networks. Having email, calendar and directory at employees fingertips anywhere, anytime gives corporations a clear competitive advantage. We feel that an important part of the vision is timing LPG MES being a clear example of the kind of tangible benefits mobility can offer already today, said Pekka Kelkka, CEO, LPG Innovations.

"The integration of the Nokia Activ Server and LPGs solution is an excellent solution for corporates who want to build up the mobile office easily and cost-efficiently. New mobile office services provide a corporate workforce with a valuable asset that will improve the corporations efficiency and performance considerably," says Jukka Riivari, Director, Corporate and xSP Sales, Mobile Internet Applications, Nokia Networks.

LPG Mobile Enterprise Suite(TM) (LPG MES) enables easy and quick access to basic office applications, such as electronic mail, directories and calendars. The product integrates Nokia Activ Server and LPG Mobile Communication Center(TM) into a complete mobile solution. LPG MES introduces several new features, which have not been seen previously in a mobile office solution such as file sharing, printing to fax, attachment viewing and personal bookmarks.

Nokia Activ Server is an open software platform that enables secure mobile connectivity to a companys existing information systems, Intranet and Extranet services. It is an ideal solution for standard business use, offering a strong and secure environment for new mobile applications or for adding mobility to existing systems.

LPG Mobile Communication Center 2.0(TM) (LPG MCC) enables enterprises to have mobile access to their e-mail, calendar and directory information with value-added features. With this mobile solution employees can work and stay connected anytime and any place via their mobile devices or web interface.
