In fact, in the case of CMGs Wireless Service Broker one can talk about a wireless service deployment environment that encompasses access control, personalized home pages, device and user profiling, service navigation, device synchronization, location detection, end-to-end security plus store-and-forward messaging.

Demonstration:
Proteus will be demonstrating its custom application development services at the 2001 CTIA show in Las Vegas. We will be highlighting at least two of these applications (described below).

Pfreight.com by Proteus
URL this application is part of Pfreights password-protected Intranet. Demonstrations can be arranged by contacting Proteus.
Pfreight is a leading online logistics management company whose site, Pfreight.com, provides a comprehensive online resource to lower costs and improve efficiency for both drivers and shippers. The challenge presented to Proteus was how to reach Americas most mobile users, truck drivers, when the PC is not an option. It was a business imperative that Pfreight reach these users in order to maximize its truckers payload capacity and eliminate inefficiencies. Harnessing the same database technology that powered Pfreight online, Proteus developed a custom WAP interface that allowed drivers to input mission critical logistic management information such as load status, distance and time to delivery and longitude / latitude data. The application was designed so that individual users were only displayed relevant, personal information. The Proteus solution effectively applied the wireless application protocol to reach formerly unreachable users thereby increasing efficiency and reducing costs.

Advicezone.com by Proteus
http://wap.advicezone.com Advicezone.com is the worlds first expert advice web site with all accredited experts with verified credentials. Developed by Proteus from inception as a web and wireless venture, our team sought to take advantage of each medium as it accessed information. The Advicezone.com team anticipated a significant need for mobile functionality as users sought to solve problems while on the go (i.e. car repairs, etc.). Harnessing both the voice and data functionality of WAP handsets, the application allowed users to log in, search for an expert, view rates and experience, then initiate a phone conversation directly from the WAP application. Focusing on the wireless device, Proteus delivered only a sub-set of information displayed online, displaying only experts that were available at the time of the mobile search and minimizing data not needed by mobile users. The Advicezone.com application makes the WAP-enabled handset a powerful personal tool linking individuals to thousands of accredited experts from the palm of their hands.
