RESTON, Va. September 27, 2000 Ztango, Inc., a Wireless Application Service Provider (WASP) providing wireless extension and wireless application solutions to network operators, e-companies, and corporations, today announced that iobox, one of Europes leading wireless portals, is now being powered by Ztangos Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Gateway 1.2. Ztangos WAP Gateway enables portals like iobox to provide innovative WAP services to their customers. It also allows iobox to deliver content to extend their WAP services to their customer base of more than 1.6 million mobile phone users throughout Finland and the rest of Europe.

iobox has been relying on Ztangos highly secure and scalable short messaging service (SMS) and WAP gateways, offering value added services, such as email services, delivery of ring tones, icons, games and reminder services. By leveraging the Ztango WAP gateway 1.2, iobox will extend its widely popular SMS services to the WAP environment, allowing for the use of both media concurrently. By combining WAP and SMS, iobox will be able to leverage the market-proven value of SMS with the interactive nature of WAP in offering unique services to its customers.
