SmartServ Online to Demo Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) - Enabled Trading Application with Nokia at Fall COMDEX

Secure wireless trading application and Nokia WAP solutions leverage growing mobile Internet market

Stamford, Conn. ( November 11, 1999 )SmartServ Online, Inc. (OTC: SSOL), a leading provider of Web and wireless transaction-enabling solutions, is demonstrating WAP enabled trading application at Fall COMDEX '99. The demonstration, using the Nokia WAP Server and Internet-ready Nokia 7100 Series handsets, will be held in the Nokia booth No. 1419 throughout the show.

SmartServ and Nokia have been working together to ensure the interoperability of the Nokia WAP browser and server with SmartServ's solutions. As part of Nokia's Value Added Services program, SmartServ will also develop and market services for optimization on Nokia WAP-enabled mobile handsets.

"The WAP standard allows SmartServ to securely extend the Web-based model to a mobile environment giving brokers the ability to extend their online trading capability to mobile systems," she added.

In addition to providing real-time market information, SmartServ's wireless stock trading application offers many of the same features found in the Web-based system, including blotter with running average price, book and rebook. The end-to-end solution provides both application-level authentication and enforces security measures which conform to the WAP Specification. SmartServ's trade screens are flexible for broker dealer customization and branding.
